Get Help – One-on-One Research Consultations

What is a One-on-One Research Consultation?

Meet one-on-one with a librarian subject specialist, who will help you develop or rethink your search strategy, identify appropriate sources for academic research projects and assignments. Consultations are generally 30-45 minutes long.

Interested in scheduling a consultation?

We encourage you to schedule an appointment by filling out a form on our “Ask a Librarian” page. Please be as specific as possible about your research topic.

You may also make an appointment with your subject librarians by emailing them directly:

Qinghua Xu
Reference and Research Services Librarian, STEM

Caitlin MacKenzie Mannion
Reference and Subject Specialist Librarian, Humanities and Social Sciences

Please allow at least 24-48 hours for us to schedule and prepare. If you need assistance more quickly, please stop by reference desk or contact us via phone, chat,  or e-mail.
